Gulnaz Galimullina is an author and director of documentary films, laureate of international and all-Russian competitions and festivals, including TEFI-Region, Golden Minbar, New York Film Festivals, and the World Culture Film Festival (USA). She also works successfully in photography, winning international competitions such as LensCulture Critics’ Choice, Fine Art Photography Awards, and International Photography Awards. She lives and works in Moscow. In her authorial documentary films, she often explores themes of homeland, history, and culture, as well as the lives of outstanding figures from her republic. Her film Monisto has received numerous international awards and has been screened worldwide. Gulnaz collaborates with major production companies in Moscow. Gulnaz Galimullina’s photography projects, including Monisto and Proverbs, have been exhibited at the Kurpfalz Museum in Heidelberg (Germany), the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Russian House in Rome, the House of Nationalities and the “Vystavochnaya” Gallery in Moscow, the Central House of Artists in Tashkent, and the New Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow as part of the nationwide competition Russia. Horizons. The photography projects Proverbs and Rukh were nominees for international photo competitions such as Fine Art Photography Awards and IPA, and have been repeatedly exhibited in collective shows in Russia within nationwide competitions. Her project Impersonal won the LensCulture Critics’ Choice. Documentary filmmaking remains Gulnaz’s main focus. Her portfolio also includes work for major brands such as Kraft Heinz, Selgross, MARR RUSSIA, KFC, KERRY, and others. She produces feature, documentary, and corporate films and videos of various genres and complexity, managing projects from concept through post-production. |
